How to clean
keyboard_arrow_downRemoving fur
The simplest method is to use a damp glove and rub the inside of the cave to gather up the fur.
Washing
Machine washing isn't recommended — it can damage the felting and strip the wool's natural scent, which cats love.
Drying
Avoid the dryer, as it may shrink the wool. Roll the cave in a towel to remove excess water, then let it air-dry in the sun or a warm room.

NB: The caves may have a few folds upon reception. You can reshape them by hand and wait 72 hours. The wool will take its original shape after being aired out.
Can It go outside?
keyboard_arrow_downCat caves are made to stay indoors. While they can be left outside on sunny days, the wool will absorb moisture. We recommend keeping them in a dry place to make them last even longer.
How it is made?
keyboard_arrow_downWool carding is the process of combing and untangling raw wool fibers to remove impurities and create a smooth, even material.
Once carded, the wool is layered over a dome-shaped mold and rubbed with warm soapy water. Heat, moisture, and friction cause the fibers to naturally interlock, forming a dense, seamless material, the foundation of every handmade Woolycave.
How to clean the caves?
keyboard_arrow_downYour cat cave may need a good scrubbing after a few months of use.
Cleaning the fur in the cave:
Just turn the cave inside-out and rub it with a wet glove.
Washing the cave:
We do not recommend placing them in the washing machine. It could damage the felting and remove the natural smell of the wool your cat loved so much.
Drying the cave:
Do not put it in the dryer. It might shrink the wool.
The best method is to let the cave dry in the sun, or roll it in a towel to remove excess water first. Then let it dry in a warm place.

During a trip to Nepal in 2018, we discovered the know-how of exceptional women working with wool by hand.
A few months later, the opportunity to work with these women presented itself.
In partnership with the local Nepalese associations, we offer jobs to women in precarious situations, paying them twice the average of Nepalese salaries.
Our caves are therefore carefully and delicately handmade in Nepal. The first beneficiaries of this project are these courageous women. By buying from us, you are therefore contributing to the improvement of women's conditions in Nepal.
